Meet the Nanion team

Our colleagues Cecilia George (Global Head of SURFE²R Sales / Senior Scientist) and Rocco Zerlotti (Application Scientist) will be on site representing Nanion Technologies.

Rocco will present a poster:

“Dissecting GABA-Induced Electrogenic Events and Ion-Coupling Stoichiometry in Human GAT-1”
📍 Poster #1015
🕒 April 14, 12:30 PM

Make sure to stop by and join the discussion.

Discover SSME for Transporter Research

If you’re working with solute carriers or membrane transporters, this is a great opportunity to explore Solid Supported Membrane-based Electrophysiology (SSME).

Unlike traditional patch clamp, SSME:

  • Does not require living cells
  • Works with proteoliposomes, membrane vesicles, or native preparations
  • Is particularly suited for low-turnover transporters

Instead of applying a voltage, SSME uses rapid solution exchange to create substrate gradients, driving transport activity.
