Meet the Nanion team
Our Senior Scientist, Giustina Rotordam, will be on site representing Nanion Technologies.
If you're studying mechanosensitive ion channels or mechanotransduction, this is a great opportunity to discuss how our technologies support mechanobiology research.
Come talk to Giustina about how:
- Automated patch clamp enables functional studies of mechanosensitive ion channels.
- Electrophysiology platforms support investigations of cellular responses to mechanical stimuli.
- Scalable solutions help accelerate mechanobiology research from fundamental discovery to translational applications.

Don't miss Giustina's presentation:
High-Throughput Automated Patch Clamp Method to Enable Drug Discovery on the Force-Sensing Ion Channel Piezo1
- Tuesday, July 14, 2026
- Session 4
- 11:45 AM – 12:00 PM
Piezo1 is a force-sensing ion channel that responds to mechanical cues such as flow, stretch, and pressure. In this talk, Giustina will introduce M-Stim, a 384-well automated patch clamp approach that applies controlled mechanical stimulation to reproducibly activate Piezo1 currents and support pharmacological testing in relevant cell models.
